Jessie J is putting the rumors to bed, folks! The powerhouse vocalist is firing back at reports that her new heartbreak ballad is a diss track aimed at ex-boyfriend Channing Tatum.

ICYMI, Jessie and the "Magic Mike" star were a thing, on and off, between 2018 and 2020. Remember those PDA-filled strolls and adoring Instagram posts? Good times!

But now, with the release of her new song, "Throw It Away," whispers started swirling that the lyrics were a thinly veiled jab at Tatum. Was she calling him out? Nah, says Jessie.

Taking to Instagram, the "Domino" singer slammed the "untrue" and "unfair" headlines. She insists the song has *nothing* to do with her former flame. Talk about setting the record straight!

"I NEVER said it was," she wrote, clearly frustrated by the media frenzy. "The headlines are so dramatic and mean." Ouch.

But why speak out now? Jessie explains that she knows Tatum would do the same for her. Respect!

More importantly, she wants to protect Tatum's daughter, 12-year-old Everly, from any potential hurt. Everly is his daughter with ex-wife Jenna Dewan.

"He is a dad and an amazing one, and I would never want his beautiful daughter to ever read any of it," Jessie stated firmly.

She emphasized that she and Channing ended their relationship "on great terms" and that she holds him in high regard.

Some eagle-eyed fans pointed to lyrics like, "Don't you dare rewrite the story / I'm the beauty, you're the beast," as potential digs. But Jessie shut that down, too.

"He was never a beast to me," she declared. "And I am not ok with some of the media just dragging his name for clickbait." Can't blame her for being protective!

This all comes after a recent performance in West London, where Jessie reportedly hinted that the song was about Tatum. The US Sun reported that she even said, "You can figure out who I was dating" when introducing the track, which she co-wrote with Ryan Tedder in 2020.

In the song, she sings about putting her "heart on the table" and laments, "Oh that karma is gonna come one day / 'Cause I gave you my love and you threw it away." Ouch, right?

But Jessie's having none of it! She's drawing a line in the sand and demanding that everyone move on. Message received!

So, where are these two lovebirds now? Jessie has since found love with basketball player Chanan Colman, and they share a son together.

As for Channing, he was last linked to Zoë Kravitz, but the engagement was reportedly called off last year.
