Could wedding bells be ringing for Hugh Jackman and Kate Hudson? Hold your horses, folks – it's not what you think (probably!).
The two A-listers, who are lighting up the silver screen in "Song Sung Blue," are joking that they feel like they've already been hitched for years. And all it took was a mere 36 days of filming!
Jackman, ever the charmer, quipped to Page Six at the 2025 Gotham Awards that their on-screen romance felt surprisingly authentic. You could even say Page Six thought it was surprisingly authentic!

Hudson, never one to be outdone, chimed in, "Yeah, we were married a very long time!"
But before you start picturing them renewing vows on a beach in St. Barts, let's clarify: it's all about the magic of movie-making, darling.
According to the "Running Point" star, the set vibes were immaculate. The pair said that working together was so easy, it was like they'd been doing it for years.

"We enjoyed the experience together. It was like, safe and trusting, and that made it fun," Hudson gushed, giving a nod to Jackman for creating a super-comfy atmosphere.
Apparently, Jackman was attached to the project even *before* a script existed. Now that’s commitment!
So, what's "Song Sung Blue" actually about? Prepare for a toe-tapping treat! It's inspired by a documentary about the real-life duo, Mike "Lightning" Sardina and Claire "Thunder" Sardina, who took the world by storm with their Neil Diamond tribute band.

Jackman embodies "Lightning," while Hudson electrifies the screen as "Thunder." Can you feel the sparks flying already?
Hudson, the "Almost Famous" star, confessed that she was a bit of a Neil Diamond newbie before taking on the role. Can you believe it? "I had no idea Diamond's catalogue was so extensive," she admitted.
Meanwhile, Jackman, is a self-proclaimed Diamond devotee. He's been belting out "Sweet Caroline" in the shower for years.

Jackman calls the singer, “one of the greats of all time, and he’s one of the great songwriters."
"If he never stepped on a stage, he'd be an icon, but he's actually one of the great performers, and that's not a given, I don't think." Jackman added.
The "Les Misérables" star is hoping their movie will "actually generate a whole new wave of interest in his music."

Could "Song Sung Blue" spark a Diamond-ssance? Only time will tell!
Of course, no red carpet appearance is complete without a little love in the air. Jackman strolled into the Gotham Awards with his girlfriend, Sutton Foster, looking as smitten as ever.
The couple recently went Instagram-official last month, sending fans into a frenzy. Move over, Lightning and Thunder – there's a new power couple in town!

Mark your calendars, Diamond devotees! "Song Sung Blue" hits theaters on Christmas Day.
Will it be a holiday hit? Place your bets, people!
One thing's for sure: with Jackman and Hudson at the helm, this flick is bound to be a sparkling, sing-along sensation.
