Bryan Goldberg, the big boss at Bustle Digital Group (which owns Nylon), revealed that the RSVP platform, Rumor, suffered a meltdown. Apparently, the system started sending out acceptance emails like confetti, even to those who hadn't made the cut.
“URGENT," Goldberg posted on Instagram, "There appears to be a bug in Rumor that is emailing people saying they are accepted to Nylon." The horror!
He quickly clarified, "There are NO accepts going out until Sunday." Talk about damage control!
Goldberg didn't mince words about his feelings toward technology in general. "This is why I don’t like apps. This is why I don’t like software," he lamented in an Instagram Story, before joking, "Next year, we’re going to use carrier pigeons."
According to a Page Six insider, the digital dam broke shortly after a staggering 4,000 people RSVP'd within the first hour. "It was a server meltdown," the source revealed. Ouch.
While the insider claims the issue was "easily resolved," the fallout is real. Over 12,000 people reportedly requested access, but only 2,500 will actually make the final list. Looks like some social climbers are about to be left out in the Miami heat.

Sources whisper that Nylon initially considered partnering with Contra for the event but ultimately decided against it due to "competitive nature" of the brands.
Sinjin Cohen, co-founder of Contra, subtly threw shade, stating, "Contra simply speaks for itself in how elevated, reliable, and consistently effective it is."
Nylon House, presented by e.l.f. Cosmetics, is still slated to take place at a secret location on Friday, Nov. 5th. So secretive!
