Did Miley Cyrus just drop a major hint? Forget "Flowers," is it time for wedding bells?
The pop superstar has sparked a frenzy of engagement rumors after being spotted with a dazzling diamond ring on that finger. The alleged bling made its debut during a red-carpet appearance with her beau, musician Maxx Morando.
Miley, 33, and Maxx, 27, made a stunning pair at the world premiere of "Avatar: Fire and Ash" in Los Angeles on Monday night.
But it wasn't the blue creatures everyone was gawking at. All eyes were on the enormous diamond ring Miley was sporting, strategically positioned for maximum paparazzi impact.
In nearly every photo, Miley made sure her left hand was front and center. Was this a calculated move, or is she just really proud of her manicure?
Posing alongside Maxx, she rested her hand—ring gleaming—on his chest. Solo shots? Left hand prominently displayed on her hip, naturally.
Miley turned heads in a striking black strapless sequin gown, complete with a structured bodice, ruffled skirt, and dramatic train. Maxx complemented her look in a classic black suit and crisp white shirt.
Eagle-eyed fans might recall the ring first appearing on Miley's finger in mid-November, thanks to the sleuths over at Deuxmoi.
Insiders whispered about the possible engagement, but reps for the stars have remained tight-lipped, failing to respond to requests for comment.
Miley herself revealed to British Vogue last year that she and the drummer, currently with the band Liily (formerly The Regrettes), were set up "a couple of summers" ago. "It was blind for me and not really for him," she coyly added.
Their romance subtly launched in November 2021 when Miley included Maxx in an Instagram post from Gucci’s "Love Parade" fashion show in LA.
The following month, sparks flew during Miley’s New Year’s Eve Party in Miami, with backstage footage capturing the pair dancing during commercial breaks.
By April 2022, they were spotted locking lips in LA, with a source telling E! News that the relationship was "very serious."
The couple has since attended a Versace fashion show in LA (March 2023) and the 2024 Grammy Awards, where Miley snagged Record of the Year and Best Pop Solo Performance for "Flowers."
And who could forget the celebratory smooch at the Grammys? Miley even gave a shout-out to her "love" during her acceptance speech.
Sources say Miley and Maxx are now living together. "She is very happy with him," an insider told People earlier this year. "Miley has changed a lot in the past couple of years. She seems more calm and harmonious."
The source added that "Everyone loves Maxx. He’s a great guy… He’s private and doesn’t like being in the press. It’s been good for her."
They were most recently spotted on a low-key date night at a Future Islands concert in LA in September 2024.
Miley discussed their age gap with Harper's Bazaar, gushing that the Gen Z drummer "inspires [her] so much."

Their last public sighting was in June, during a night out in New York City. Now, this ring...
