Jeremy Allen White, the "Bear" star, is tackling a big role: Bruce Springsteen in the upcoming biopic, "Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere." Talk about pressure!
Turns out, embodying the Boss himself came with a direct line to the legend. White confessed to Page Six that Springsteen was super involved.
How involved? Think nightly pep talks. "Bruce texted me almost every night," White revealed at the Gotham Awards. Can you imagine?

Springsteen also made his presence known on set, offering guidance and support. Method acting, but with the actual subject checking in – wild!
White, ever the comedian, joked that without Springsteen's encouraging texts, he'd have been "crying a lot more." Sounds like this role was seriously intense.
The film dives into a pivotal moment in Springsteen's career, right on the cusp of superstardom. It's about grappling with success while staying true to your roots.

Director Scott Cooper explained why Springsteen was the perfect subject. "He is such a cultural icon, which is rare," Cooper told Page Six. No arguments there!
Cooper believes the film is timely, given the current state of the world. "Filled with noise and confusion and anger and hate," as he put it.
He sees Springsteen as a beacon of hope. "Bruce Springsteen represents the best of us," Cooper declared. High praise, indeed.

The "Crazy Heart" director went on to describe Springsteen as "morally sound" and "the best of who we are." It's clear Cooper is a massive fan.
The duo even snagged the Cultural Icon Tribute Award at Monday's gala. A fitting honor for a film celebrating such a legendary figure.
White expressed gratitude for Springsteen's trust. "We're very grateful that Bruce allowed us into [his] space," he said during his acceptance speech.
He added that they were telling a story Springsteen "had never told himself and never mythologized." Quite the responsibility!

White even had a little stumble with the word "mythologized," endearing himself to the crowd. "Sorry folks, I'm very tired," he quipped.
The Gotham Awards were packed with A-listers, including Rihanna, Hugh Jackman, Julia Roberts, Paul Rudd, and Jacob Elordi. A star-studded night!
But back to the texts… What exactly did Springsteen say in those nightly messages? We’re dying to know!

Did he offer acting advice? Share stories from his own early career struggles? Or just send encouraging emojis? Inquiring minds want to know!
One thing's for sure: having Bruce Springsteen as your personal cheerleader must be an incredible experience. Talk about a confidence boost!
White’s portrayal of Springsteen is sure to be scrutinized by fans worldwide. No pressure, right?

But with Springsteen's blessing and nightly texts, it sounds like he's got this. We can't wait to see "Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere" when it hits theaters.
Will White’s performance earn him an Oscar nod? Only time will tell, but with The Boss in his corner, anything is possible!
Now, if you'll excuse us, we're going to go listen to "Born to Run" on repeat.
