Cue the waterworks! Hollywood’s power couple, Holland Taylor and Sarah Paulson, are serving up relationship goals, and this time, it’s extra sparkly. During Tuesday's Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony honoring Paulson, Taylor delivered a speech that had everyone reaching for the tissues.
Taylor, the legendary 82-year-old actress, didn't hold back as she gushed about her "shining star," the one and only Sarah Paulson, who just turned 50. Forget diamonds; a star on the Walk of Fame is forever!
"Sarah, the actress, is first of all a wild creature," Taylor began, painting a vivid picture of her partner's raw talent. "Warm blooded, instinctive, mysterious." Sounds like someone's been taking notes on set!
But it didn't stop there. Taylor playfully added, "And Sarah is dangerous — trust me in this — not dangerous like a snake, more like a mongoose… You know, those darling furry, little creatures that kill snakes." Savage! But also, incredibly endearing.
Taylor went on to applaud Paulson’s unwavering “commitment to truth” as an actress, a trait she says is rare in the biz. Apparently, Sarah's not afraid to get real.
According to Taylor, Paulson possesses a "laser perception" when it comes to understanding her characters. "She zeros in to a story’s central struggle, where most of us aren’t even aware of our own," Taylor proclaimed.
And if acting wasn't enough, Taylor hinted at Paulson's future directorial aspirations, predicting she'll be a "great director" one day. Is there anything this woman can't do?
"Her acting is as honest as our faith and as complicated as chemistry. She’s not deceiving us she is practicing magic," Taylor gushed. Now that’s a review worth framing!
But it wasn't just about the on-screen magic. Taylor also highlighted Paulson's "secret skill as an actor," her own humanity, calling her "deeply understanding, loving and loyal."
Taylor also made sure to mention Paulson’s strong personal relationships. She praised the "All’s Fair" star for her "many deep, long friendships, and her love for her extended family."
"Truth to tell, it is these relationships where Sarah is most complex, dedicated and giving. Sometimes it’s hard to believe she’s an actress," Taylor said. Humble and talented? Goals!
Taylor wrapped up her heartfelt tribute with a personal message. "And just in case she doesn’t know it, she has a permanent shining star on my street. I love you, darling," she said. BRB, grabbing tissues.
The two have been an item since 2015, and they've faced their fair share of scrutiny, mostly due to their 31-year age difference. But have they let the haters get to them?
Nope! Paulson famously shut down critics back in 2018, telling Modern Luxury, “If anyone wants to spend any time thinking I’m strange for loving the most spectacular person on the planet, then that’s their problem. I’m doing just fine.” [Modern Luxury]

Basically, it’s all about balance. “She’s much more social, and I like a little bit of alone time, so I have that. She spends some time with friends and not with me, so it’s a good balance.”
